At the end of XIX beginning of XX centuries Tatariv was known as a resort as far as Europe. Well-off people from Vienna, Warsaw and Krakow had villas in Tatariv where they used to spend every summer. Unfortunately, the potential of the region is not being exploited to full extent. The resort is situated at the height of 750 m above sea level. A variety of exciting one or several day long tours lead by an experienced and skilled guides are organized, such as: - climbing of the Homyak, Synyak and Hoverla mountains: - walking to polonyna Lisnovy; - lifting to the height of 2.5 km by a chairlift in Vorokhta (8 km away from Tatariv); - climbing of the Yablunytsya Pass (11 km away from Tatariv); - lifting to the Bukovel mountain by a chairlift (11 km away from Tatariv). Both driving a private car and walking tours to the fabulous Carpathian polonynas are offered, where the tourists can enjoy the rest in the kingdom of Carpathian fir-trees, gather bilberries, raspberries, mushrooms and bathe in the swift mountain river Prut.
