The National Vyzhnytsya Natural Reserve
The National Vyzhnytsya National Reserve with the total area of 7928.4 hectares was founded on August 30, 1995 in the low mountainous area of the Bukovynian Carpathians. Its mild climate and woods of beech and fir trees create favourable conditions for comfortable rest.
The reserve is situated between the rivers Cheremosh and Siret and stretches within the borders of Vyzhnytsya district.
The reserve attracts tourists by its geomorphologic sights: great rocks "Protyati Kameni" (Cut Stones), "Sokolyne Oko" (Falcon's Eye) and the Cave of Dovbush, and waterfalls "Mountain Throne" (Mt. Sukhoi) and "Huk" (Mt. Smuhariv).
The reserve is rich in such mineral water springs as "Chereshenka" (Sweet Cherry), "Vyzhnytsya" and "Luzhky". Recently two more curative springs of the "Naftusya" type have been discovered.
The Carpathian Mountains, wonderful in any season, are the best decoration of the region. Their landscapes are of vivid Hutsulian colouring with soft mountain contours, emerald-blue fir tree forests, mountain valleys and neat houses.

Visitors are offered a number of ecologic routes of 1-2 day's duration, along the territory of the reserve and to the outstanding places.

Route 1. "Along the Volotyv Ridge"
It is a walking tour along the first ridge of the Bukovinian Carpathians "Volotyv". Its route runs as follows: the village of Vyzhenka - Mt. Kruhla (Round) - Mt. Vyzhenka - Mt. Kamyana (Stone) - the valley of Volotyv - the town of Berehomet. The route covers 17 km, takes 7-9 hours with 4 halts.

Route 2. "The Stone Ring of the Reserve"
It is a walking tour along the geomorphologic sights of the reserve. Its route runs as follows: Nimchych mountain pass - the Berizka ridge - the rock "Sokolynyi Kamin" (Falcon's Stone) - the rocks "Protyati Kameni" (Cut Stones) - the waterfalls and stone gates of the village of Vyzhenka. The route covers 15 km, takes 7-9 hours with 4 halts.

Route 3. "From Edge to Edge"
It is a two-day's walking tour along the whole territory of the reserve from the south-east to the north-west. Its route runs as follows: the town of Berehomet - the gorge Sukhoi - the Bankiv ridge - the village of Vyzhenka - the town of Vyzhnytsya. The route covers 25 km, takes 13 hours with 4 halts and camping for the night.

Route 4. "Koromyslo"
It is a walking tour along the area of Berehomet Ecologic Centre. Its route runs as follows: the town of Berehomet - the gorge Stebnyk - the gorge Sukhoi - the town of Berehomet. The route covers 15 km, takes 7-8 hours with 3 halts.

Route 5. "Bozna"
It is a walking tour along the valley of Mt. Stebnyk with the ascent to the height of 950.4 m above sea level. Its route runs as follows: the town of Berehomet - the gorge Stebnyk - the Recreational grounds - the gorge Stebnyk - Mt. Bozna - the town of Berehomet. The route covers 18 km, takes 8-9 hours with 4 halts.
Besides, tourists can have a rest on the equipped recreational grounds in the gorges Stebnyk and Luzhky or in other natural aesthetic places they wish to visit.
In the Ecologic Centre tourists are acquainted with the activity of the centre, offered to watch slides with rare sights and exotic plants, to attend the ecologic-aesthetic exposition where one can experience all four seasons at a time, to visit the "time room", to listen to the legend of the salamander, and simply to relax.

The tours are offered to all the tourists in any season.
